Michael Belmore

Michael Belmore is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and graduated with an A.O.C.A. in sculpture/installation from Ontario College of Art & Design in 1994. Michael works in a variety of media including plastic, metal and wood. He also works with graphite on matte film, which he incorporates into large format light boxes. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is represented in the permanent collections at the Indian Art Centre in Gatineau, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Thunder Bay Art Gallery, Agnes Etherington Art Gallery in Kingston, and in numerous private collections. He has also shown at several artist-run centres and collectives across Canada and has created sitespecific installations for Thunder Bay Art Gallery and the City of Peterborough.
