The International Cello Festival of Canada is pleased to announce Masterclasses
The International Cello Festival of Canada is presented by the Winnipeg Cultural Capital of Canada 2010 and Agassiz Music Inc
Between June 15 and June 19th, Winnipeg will host the International Cello Festival of Canada, and will welcome a host of international and nationally renowned cellists to perform in the festival; Colin Carr (UK), Patrick and Thomas Demenga (Switzerland), Natalia Gutman (Russia), Jian Wang (China), Frans Helmerson (Sweden), alongside Canadian cellists Yegor Djachkov (Montreal), Denise Djokic (Boston), Tom Wiebe (London), Yuri Hooker (Winnipeg), Paul Marleyn (Ottawa), Shauna Rolston (Toronto), Minna Rose Chung (Winnipeg), Kirk Starkey (Hamilton) and Leanne Zacharias (Brandon), amongst others. Hosted by Eric Friesen, and including the Manitoba Chamber and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestras, the Festival will be presented in multiple venues across the city, and will feature masterclasses with four internationally celebrated cello pedagogues; Frans Helmerson, Colin Carr, Natalia Gutman and Desmond Hoebig.
