Hit the bricks with a Ginger on a “historical” walking tour. Many secrets of the area have been dug up for your pleasure. Redheads Tricia Cooper and Graham Ashmore take you on a fun and fact-filled tour around the exchange district starting from the Hotel Fort Garry. The material for this tour has been collectively created by some of Winnipeg’s finest writers, and by some who just had nothing better to do. Writers include crime novelist Michael Van Rooy, Less than Kind superstar Ross Macmillan and John Hirsch Award winner Carolyn Gray, Tracey McCourt, Sam Vint, and Gordon Tanner. The redheads also write. Sarah Constible has composed some lovely music and has co-directed the whole thing with Michelle Boulet. This isn’t just any walking tour; there will be musical mayhem and meaningful life lessons along the way as you explore not just the beautiful historic exchange district, but the bizarre family dynamic between these two redheaded nut jobs. It might be time to give up the family business.
