Festival du Voyageur

In celebration of Winnipeg’s Cultural Capital year, the Winnipeg Cultural Capital of Canada 2010 (WCCC 2010) program is supporting festivals throughout the year specifically to expand their audiences, especially across cultural lines.  At this year’s Freeze Frame International Film Festival for Kids of all Ages, WCCC 2010 is thrilled to be supporting the festival’s efforts to engage a broader and more diverse audience as a part of our Cross Cultural Marketing Initiative.

At this year's Festival du Voyageur, WCCC 2010 was thrilled to support the Wesli Concert as a way of reaching out to the International Francophone community. Wesli is a Hatian/Canadian musician, and part of the proceeds of the event went to the Red Cross Haiti relief efforts.

WCCC 2010 was also excited to be a part of Louis Riel Day, and joined in the festivities at Fort Gibraltar at Whittier Park.
