WHAT: Repellent Eye (Winnipeg) 2011 is an art installation  created by the art  
collective Postcommodity for the upcoming major exhibition Close Encounters: The Next 500 Years.

About the exhibition:
Close Encounters is a banner project for Winnipeg Cultural Capital of Canada ARTS FOR ALL Program comprised of a large-scale exhibition focused on presenting Indigenous art from around the world. This will be an incredibly important show, featuring the work of a number of renowned Canadian Indigenous artists, complemented by some of the most innovative and engaging work drawn from Indigenous populations across the globe.

Presented by Winnipeg Cultural Capital of Canada. Organized by Plug In ICA with the Winnipeg Art Gallery, URBAN SHAMAN: Contemporary Aboriginal Art and other partnering organizations.
