Anthony Kiendl is Director of Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art. He is Curator of Contour: Biennale of the Moving Image, Mechelen, Belgium in 2011. In 2010 he curated an exhibition as part of Nuit Blanche (Toronto). In 2009 he was awarded the Hnatyshyn Foundation Award for Curatorial Excellence in Contemporary Art. In 2007 he was Leverhulme Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Arts, Middlesex University, London. From 2002 to 2006 he was Director of Visual Arts and Walter Phillips Gallery at The Banff Centre. He was Curator at the Dunlop Art Gallery, Regina Public Library from 1997 to 2002.

Plug In ICA grand opening

Conference guests are invited to a special preview reception of the new Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art, the day before our grand opening. Please join us Friday, November 5 from 7 to 10 pm for cocktails and hors d’oeurves. Be among the first to see our opening exhibitions, with several of the artists in attendance:
Eleanor Bond: Mountain of Shame; AA Bronson: We are the revolution; Adrian Stimson and Lori Blondeau: Buffalo Boy and Belle Sauvage: Putting the WILD Back in the West; and Shezad Dawood: Mystery Play. Conference attendees with passes may invite one non-conference guest to attend with them.
